    Terms of Service

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using Abled ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

    2. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

    3. Account Responsibilities

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.

    4. Community Guidelines

    Abled is an inclusive, accessible platform. You agree to:

    • Treat all users with respect and dignity
    • Not harass, bully, or discriminate against others
    • Not create fake or misleading profiles
    • Not share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
    • Report any behaviour that violates these guidelines

    5. Privacy & Data Protection

    Your privacy is important. We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

    6. Disability-Related Information

    Sharing disability-related information on Abled is entirely voluntary. This data is treated as special personal information under POPIA and is protected with enhanced security measures. You control what you share and can update or remove this information at any time.

    7. Premium Subscriptions

    Premium features are available through paid subscriptions processed via PayFast. Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are subject to our refund policy.

    8. Content Ownership

    You retain ownership of content you create on Abled. By posting content, you grant Abled a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform. You may delete your content at any time.

    9. Safety

    While we implement safety features including profile verification, content moderation, and reporting tools, we cannot guarantee the behaviour of other users. Please use the Safety Centre tools and exercise caution when meeting others.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    Abled is provided "as is". We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, interactions with other users, or any interruption of service.

    11. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.

    12. Changes to Terms

    We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
